This summer the Diamond Jubilee takes place to commemorate 60 years of the Queen's reign, and On is delighted to join in the celebrations with this Special Jubilee Collection of macarons designed to capture some classic English flavours from the same period. The pastel colours were inspired by the Queen's wardrobe and her love of block colours.
Apples are a classic English fruit, and this fruity macaron combines crisp Green Apples with a sweet Citrus Marmalade for a delightfully fresh mouthful.
All the fun of the fair! On takes us back to our childhoods with this spun-sugar flavoured macaron, combined here with Crunchy Raspberry buttercream. Grab it before the kids eat them all...
With a design inspired by the amethyst of the Sovereign's Orb, this macaron is a grown-up take on blackcurrant cordial – tart Blackcurrants combined with sweet Blueberries and a hint of Vodka.
To Carry On with the grown-up theme, On pairs classic English Pear with Vanilla and very naughtily adds some Champagne and a little hint of spicy Ginger. Awfully naughty!
Think Wimbledon, Henley, picnics in the park - On combines the very best of British summer fruit flavours - Strawberry and Vanilla macarons with Rose, Strawberry Jam and Buttercream.
"Not traditional street food, but I had to include On Cafe. Sweet tooths will be delighted by the mouth-watering macaroons. Regulars at the Real Food market (as before), they also cater for events around London serving the most beautiful, Japanese-inspired macaroons. I tried the black sesame, and the jasmine and charcoal macaroons, and was blown away. Honestly, follow these guys everywhere they go."
